A Message from the Board of Directors
Saint Matthew School remains one of the largest elementary schools in the Archdiocese with almost 900 children enrolled from pre-K through 8th grade. Saint Matthew Parish has served as a Christ-centered pillar of the Mayfair community since 1927.
The Friends of St. Matthew promotes partnership, fellowship and fundraising opportunities among the school and parish communities, donors, alumni, local business, labor and community leaders as well as other interested stakeholders. Specifically, the Friends of St. Matthew, in conjunction with other key groups, works to ensure the continued viability of the parish and school by:
- Funding capital improvements
- Subsidizing academic technology and programs
- Mitigating the need for large tuition increases
- Establishing an endowment fund
Today, we face significant challenges from charter schools, declining household sizes, rising expenses, older campus facilities and technology costs, to name a few. Together, we can all assist the Friends of St. Matthew raise, invest and disburse much-needed funding through a multi-faceted giving program designed to meet any budget.
School families, parishioners, alumni and others can work together to support the mission of School and Parish—formative education and spiritual ministering from cradle to grave—by generously donating to the Friends of St. Matthew.
Please get to know us; our various opportunities for donating; our school and parish wish lists; as well as our overall mission—all through our website. Feel free to contact us with any ideas, questions or to help volunteer.
Thank you for your time and consideration and we sincerely appreciate your generosity.
